Tawau Hills is a 20-minute immersive 360º Mind+Body Sound journey experience created by the Earth Echo Collective. It features the Tawau Hills wildlife in Borneo, recorded by Wild Ambience.

Nestled in the lush rainforests of Borneo lies the breathtaking Tawau Hills Park, an ecological treasure trove that's sure to leave any nature enthusiast spellbound. With its sprawling 300 km2 area of untouched forest, Tawau Hills is a living testament to the magnificence of the natural world. In 2019, Wild Ambience spent several days recording in the area around Mount Lucia lodge, where a harmonious mix of lowland and mid-altitude hill forests offered a unique soundscape.

Earth Echo is a collective of sound healers, sound engineers and musicians; bringing wildlife sounds from remote habitats to amplify nature’s resonance, re-imagining earth through our senses using the power of sound. We source high quality wildlife recordings from talented field recordists around the world, combining advanced audio techniques with ancient sound healing practices to create 360º meditative sensory healing experiences.

So far, our work has been entirely self-funded. We're on a mission to raise the awareness of “Sound Health”, and the benefits all of us can experience from being kind to our senses. Our goal is to reawaken the deep connection between Human Consciousness, the Earth and Nature.

Our content is not only designed for human health, but also to support the habitats where the content came from.
